Those that have undertaken a home renovation on their own know the hassles and headaches that can occur.
Homeowners inevitably find themselves hunting down missing trades, negotiating seemingly endless delays and trying to live through all the mess. Designing a home and making those creations a reality is what Rochelle Zemlak and her team at Rochelle Lynne Design do best.
Rochelle has been designing beautiful spaces since 1998. Principal Sr. Designer Rochelle and her team; Interior Designers Cindy MacKenzie and Jessica Moody, Design Assistants Samantha Clark and Sara Buck and Construction Projects Manager Mark Zemlak have overseen countless redesigns and renovations. Together they help clients to achieve a home that is both aesthetically and functionally pleasing. “It saves headaches, stress and time by not just designing it, but taking that plan and making it happen.” Rochelle said, adding that over the years that she has compiled an extensive network of reliable contractors, trades people, craftsmen and suppliers.
For those that are building a new home, Rochelle Lynne Design can provide the drawings that are required to customize any floor plan. In addition, they can assist with selecting the finishes and fixtures to create a comprehensive design plan. “We do a lot of work with builders; small, large and custom.” Rochelle added, “People hire us when they want a degree of design that is above and beyond what most builders offer.” Hiring professional designers who keep on top of the latest products brings a world of choices to the consumer’s fingertips. “What the builders have may be limited to their showroom, but we are completely custom.” Rochelle said. “With a builder you might have 40 faucets to choose from, but there are 4,000 out there.” The team at RLD sorts through all the possibilities to select the ones that are right for the project and will best suit the client’s needs and tastes. Calgary based custom home builder Willowbrook Homes representative Garett Jenkinson said, “We rely on Rochelle Lynne Design to offer selections to our clients under one roof in a stress free environment.”
According to Rochelle, kitchen and bathrooms are typically where people require the most help. “It is a much more complex redesign.” Rochelle explained. To meet the need for expertise in these two vital areas of the home, both Rochelle and Cindy are Certified Executive Members of the National Kitchen and Bath Association’s Prairie Provinces Chapter. Besides taking care of the details pertaining to plumbing and electrical, RLD also ensures that the space available is used efficiently and effectively. “Anybody can make a room look pretty,” Rochelle explained, “What we do is make sure it is functional, practical and stylish.”
It is challenging to keep on budget for many self-renovators. With Rochelle Lynne Design, costs will be determined ahead of time and the budget is set before project begins. The team at RLD will work together to help ensure that all details are planned in advance limiting additional costs that may arise. Rochelle assures, “We find the best possible option for (the client’s) budget.”
In the end, homeowner’s peace of mind comes from having an expert take care of all the details which results in fewer mistakes and an overall outcome that will stand the test of time. “We know how to save client’s time and money, prevent mistakes and delays, eliminate miscommunications and create an interesting and unique design that will have longevity.” Rochelle concludes, “Our designs will last, making the investment worthwhile.” NL
