Serene luxury lives here
Wentworth Glen offers west-side openness and opulence
If you have dreamed of living in a community that offers the warmth and beauty of the country yet is only a short drive from a vibrant city centre, then Wentworth Glen in Calgary’s west side is the perfect setting for your new home. Created by Dundee Developments, Wentworth Glen is a continuation of Wentworth and Wentworth Estates and has expanded on the success of these earlier developments.
Wentworth Glen offers about 200 lots and will incorporate four well-known builders, each bringing their own particular style to the development, while maintaining the high quality and standards that the earlier phases originally set. The exterior features of every attractive home will include exposed aggregate, handsome masonry and stucco or hardi-board siding; indicative of the highest quality construction and design that Wentworth is now known for.
Homes by Avi will provide homes with rear-lane garages starting at around $390,000, with three beautiful showhomes currently open for viewing.
Greenboro Estate Homes and Morrison Homes will offer the majority of the gorgeous estate homes available in this community, many with walk-out lots that lead onto the lush environmental reserve. Ranging in size all the way up to more than 3,000 square-feet, these elegant homes start from the $600,000s and offer quite a variety of floor plans and styles to choose from.
Each of these amazing builders will be offering two elegant showhomes to display some of the luxurious features available.
Beattie Homes will be continuing to offer its attached product in the form of the amazing Brownstones. Starting from around $650,000, these homes will be selling out of the Brownstones located in Wentworth Estates.
The community of Wentworth was established in 2003, and many of the amenities are already available for those now looking to build in the newest phase of its development. Wentworth Estates features lots ranging from 60 to 100 feet, so the community lends an atmosphere of openness and opulence that will only enhance Wentworth Glen. Pat Lothrop with Dundee Developments says these features and more are what attract homebuyers to Wentworth in the first place. “The perimeter fence of rundle stone and iron, and the presence of mature trees, sets a tone of luxury for the area,” says Lothrop. “This is an area people aspire to because of the existing value already established and the quality products our builders are presenting, along with the conveniences that are readily available.”
Residents of Wentworth Glen will not only take pleasure in their beautiful homes, but they will also no doubt enjoy strolling along the meandering walkways leading to glassy ponds, sparkling waterfalls and open green-spaces. It is easy to imagine your new custom home nestled within this friendly community, listening to bird-song from within the mature trees and exploring the verdant environmental reserve. In addition to these appealing aspects the neighbourhood shopping centre with its many amenities is within walking distance. For those with families or those who are planning one, a new public school is due to be built in 2010 in Wentworth. For the time being, St. Joan of Arc Catholic School is already complete, offering education from kindergarten through Grade 9, and is within easy walking distance. Another benefit to living in Wentworth is proximity to skiing and winter sports available for the family of sports enthusiasts, with Canada Olympic Park only minutes away.
This incredible community will appeal to those who always dreamed of living in a truly estate neighborhood, with all the options and conveniences. Wentworth Glen is only a 20-minute drive from Calgary’s downtown core, and with show homes just opening, it’s best to visit early so you can find the best lot for your family. Take Bow Trail west to 85 Street, turn right and follow the signs. NL
