A certain dramatic flair is expected in executive estate show homes that are meant to awe and inspire visitors, but the new show home from TimberCreek by Coco Homes in Okotoks transcends all such expectations with a cinematic grandeur that is hard to surpass.

Sitting on a quarter-acre lot, the Mount Sparrowhawk show home in the Okotoks’ Cimarron community is anything but a little house on the prairie. It is 2,943 square-feet of luxurious estate living with its triple-car garage, 18-foot open-to-below ceiling in the main floor and a stylish flair worthy of celebrity homes in the reality show Cribs.

It is one jaw-dropping feature after another the moment you step into the bungalow, topped by an impressive waterfall feature over the living room fireplace. Set in designer stone façade that runs from floor to ceiling, the waterfall is an unrivalled aesthetic touch that also provides a soothing presence with its gurgle.

It is far from the only feature that has caught visitors’ attention since the show home opened in July. “The women visitors we get are always amazed with the number of built-in closets we have, men are mostly in awe of the triple garage and the huge potential it has as a workshop,” says area manager, Erica Glassford.

She says the Mount Sparrowhawk appeals to a wide range of buyers, from growing families looking for a move-up home, to retirees who find value in having the master bedroom on the main floor. “Parents looking for more privacy from their grown children are also attracted to this particular feature as the two spare bedrooms are located upstairs,” she says.

The drop-dead gorgeous kitchen is another eye-catcher, with stainless steel appliances including a microwave and oven set in the cabinetry, a stove-top within its own designer stone alcove and a huge centre island meant for entertaining while a functioning as a useable and spacious chef’s workspace.

“The kitchen allows for total freedom of movement whether preparing a meal or entertaining, there are tons of storage spaces and it is hardly lacking in style,” Glassford adds.

Granite and hardwood flooring are standard in all TimberCreek Homes and this show home expertly shows the stately elegance such details can have on the home, especially when they are set off by high ceilings and the big windows that mirror the wide-open prairie skies just outside.

The master bedroom feels like an extra- luxurious resort hotel room with its lavishly-appointed attached ensuite featuring a jetted soaker tub, as well as an oversized glass shower that looks more like a sauna. The walk-in closet is just as cavernous as the home itself with handsome built in cabinetry. “Most visitors remark that they’ll never even be able to fill this gigantic space, but that they’d love to try,” Glassford says. The master bedroom also opens to an outside deck poised to enjoy the natural beauty of the grasslands from.

This Mount Sparrowhawk show home is pegged at just under $1.1 million, although it can be built starting at around $785,000. But like most high-end products, sales are hardly affected by the recent economic slowdown. “We cater to a very exclusive market, and the economic downturn is felt more in the starter home sector. And although sales aren’t as crazy as they were a couple of years ago, they remain quite stable,” Glassford points out.

TimberCreek is the executive estate homes subsidiary of Coco Homes, boasting the same steadfast commitment to building excellence and customer service, says Glassford.

“TimberCreek Homes is dedicated to creating the best customer experience possible. While customization is at the core of TimberCreek’s difference, what captures our homeowners is the one-on-one time that is offered and the personal connections that are established when designing and creating these exquisite residences. Our customers come first. Our homebuyers have the opportunity to express themselves—and their home.” NL
