A unique and new concept called Beattie Fit allows new homeowners to create that perfect home that fits their needs to a perfect T.

For homeowners past and present, there is no such thing as being too happy or content with one’s new abode. There will always be something that needs further tweaking. But fret no more. A brand new concept called Beattie Fit will give homeowners a lot of say when it comes to building their new home. “The great thing about Beattie Fit is that we’re creating a specific home that would fit an individual’s needs and unique lifestyle,” says Josh Withell, Beattie Homes’ marketing and sales director.

Beattie Homes has 30 years of home building experience, a builder known primarily for crafting higher-end single-family homes. The Beattie Fit is a first for Beattie Homes, developed specifically for starter homes. Four new Beattie Fit show homes, aptly named after mountains in the Western Canadian theme, include the two-storey Chesapeake, Glacier, Kootenay and the bungalow style Plateau. The show homes, which are being built off Country Hills Boulevard in the community of Skyview Ranch, just opened on September 27.

Unlike the “lock, stock and barrel,” type of homes, the Beattie Fit concept offers flexibility, allowing homeowners more leverage when it comes to putting their personal imprint on their home. Every Beattie Fit house has room for change to suit personal taste and needs.

Homeowners can choose their main floor configuration to go with their upper floor configuration. “For instance, in our Glacier show home, you can choose from five different upstairs floor plans. You can do a two-bedroom with one bath, a two-bedroom with two baths, a three-edroom with an expanded bath with two vanities, or a three-bedroom with two baths and a laundry,” says Withell, adding the different variations favour different lifestyles.

Another icing on the cake for homeowners is the availability of 11 different exteriors that move across all the different homes. “It doesn’t matter what two storey plan you pick. You can then match those from any of the elevations you want for your home,” says Withell.

The Beattie Fit homes start from the $320,000s which include home, lot and GST. There will also be a good range of sizes beginning from 1,292 all the way up to 1,545 square-feet for the two-storey houses. Homeowners can choose from different decorating possibilities or confer with a Beattie interior design consultant for all their kitchen, colour and finishing needs to achieve that personal look.

“We realize that green is the way to go so we’re also putting in high efficiency furnaces and mechanical systems in place,” says Withell, adding that the Beattie Fit homes will have low-E, Sol R™ windows, eco-friendly hot water tanks, and programmable thermostats.

And since location is paramount when buying a new home, The Beattie Fit homes fit right into the “new north,” an amenities-rich location that is gaining popularity among different demographics.  Amenities in the area include elementary, middle and senior high schools, a sports complex, a library, supermarkets, strip malls, restaurants and a movie theatre. There are also walking pathways.

Beattie Fit’s brand brings with it a new group of customers. “It will be exciting to work with a new group. We want to fulfill their desire for a new home and get involved in the process of building that dream,” says Withell. Lots are now pre-selling at Skyview Ranch.  NL
