If you’re looking for that one highly desirable place where you can shed down the stress of a busy life, where as you cross the cobblestone bridge towards your home, you’re greeted by the majestic mountain views of the Rockies, look no further. And as you drive past the water ponds that wander through the community, you can feel the stress melting away. This is inspired living, the Lifestyle Homes way, located right in the heart of Montrose, in High River.

Lifestyle Homes, with its reputation for building in some of the most dynamic communities in Calgary and Southern Alberta, is just as proud to be able to offer a lifestyle experience that combines the best a community can in terms of amenities, services and a rural setting harkening back to another place and time. “We’re very excited about being a part of Montrose,” says Ian Mosher, vice- president and general manager of Lifestyle Homes.

The master-planned community of Montrose in High River is just 20 minutes south of Calgary. The stunning mountain views and small-town charm of High River appeals to a large cross section of a market looking for an oasis far from the city and yet with all the  amenities a city has to offer.

The first phase Lifestyle Homes is building is in the estate site of Montrose Terrace. “These will be exclusive estate homes that all back onto the water starting from $500K,” says Mosher. Lifestyle’s show homes in Montrose include the Belmont, which is 2,335 square-feet in size and the Kingston, at 2,200 square-feet. Lifestyle Homes' other product lines in Montrose will include two bungalow floor plans and four two-storey plans ranging from 1,800 to 2,500 square-feet.

Lifestyle’s estate lots in Montrose will range in size between 46 feet and 52 feet wide. The show homes, meanwhile, have large amounts of hardwood, upgraded railings, and come well-appointed, with stucco and stone and hardy board and stone on their exteriors. “We think both show home designs compliment the location against the water feature, have a high level of detail and finishing and show design features that allow for stunning views of the mountains,” says Mosher.

Both of Lifestyle’s show homes have bonus rooms, nooks, and large rear decks to maximize the mountain views and the 16-acre pond, which meanders throughout the community. Particular attention was also given to the ensuites in the master bedrooms as well as the kitchens of Lifestyle’s show homes.

The Montrose lifestyle is generating a lot of excitement for people who like the small-town environment with close proximity to schools, sports arenas, all in keeping with the status afforded by city living. It is an ideal setting as well for families who want a safe, serene place to raise their children. “”Montrose is for parents who don’t want to have to drive for an hour across the city if they have children that require an arena or recreation complex, beautiful facilities in High River are very close,” says Mosher.

Amenities close at hand include grocers, thriving seniors’ communities, art and culture groups as well as children’s clubs. There is also the nearby Snodgrass Recreational Complex, a wellness centre and a leisure pool, and the High River Hospital, which is notable for its short waitlist.

Buyers drawn to taking a stake in Montrose include folks from High River, Okotoks and those that work in southern Calgary, as well as those anticipating the opening of the new hospital on southerly Deerfoot. “It’s a prime location for people who want to relocate because they like to live in a more peacefull setting with everything close at hand,” says Mosher.

Lifestyle Homes in Montrose truly appeals to those who want the peace and quiet, and the majestic natural views Alberta affords. There’s also the feeling of calmness and serenity where the trees, picnic groves, parks, and pathways created by a 16-acre pond that are among reasons why you should experience the Montrose lifestyle for yourself.
