WOULDN'T IT BE NICE to know that on cold and wintery days you wouldn’t have to set foot outside when leaving the house or arriving home from work?

Wouldn’t it be nice to know that your vehicles are dry and protected in your garage, and you won’t have to worry about them not starting because of the harsh elements?

And there’s nothing quite as comforting as snuggling up in front a cheerfully blazing fireplace when the weather outside is cold and snowy. Excel homes knows these things and has taken measures to ensure that the Princeton from their Premiere Series includes these and many more comforting features.

This two-storey, three-bedroom, 1,749 square-foot home includes a front attached double garage and is located in Calgary’s SW. Only a few minutes from Fish Creek Provincial Park and the LRT, the Princeton in Bridlewest is also close to shopping, schools and playgrounds. In addition to these fantastic amenities Bridlewest is only a short drive from world-renowned Spruce Meadows and scenic rural landscapes.

In addition to these great community features, the Princeton show home model has some great design features to make life easier and more enjoyable.

Entering the home from the foyer entrance (or the garage) you are greeted with a front parlor that can double as an office or den, or even a stylish dining area. With elegant French doors opening into the room, and actual glass windows looking out into the rest of the main floor, this room is very attractive. However, the Princeton has several different floor plan options throughout, and if you prefer you can include a two-way fireplace that faces both the den and the great room. As you enter the main living area of this showhome however, you are treated to the warmth of the stone-tiled gas fireplace in the great room and the inviting hardwood floors throughout. This open-concept floor plan allows for family gatherings or entertaining and a lot of light filters in from the large back windows of both the nook and great room. The warm oak of the kitchen cabinetry adds to the charm of the kitchen, and the corner pantry and the eating bar at the island help maximize space. Another nice feature is the small bathroom located on the lower landing leading to the basement.

This is a handy addition to both the main living area and a basement that has the potential to be developed; thus further increasing the size of this spacious home.

Climbing the stairs to the upper level, the bonus room adds another great place for the family to gather. With another large window at the back, the bonus room can offer a sunny place to relax, or if you choose another option, this area can become a fourth bedroom. Either way the Princeton offers a lot of room for growing families. The upper floor of the show home includes a handy second-floor laundry room and a full bathroom, but one of the more impressive features is the master bedroom and ensuite. This large, bright room includes a huge window, a large walk-in closet and a luxurious four-piece ensuite. This ensuite is comprised of a glass shower stall next to a beautifully tiled corner soaker tub that is nestled between two large corner windows. The long vanity, beautiful cabinetry and large mirror add a nice finishing touch to this great ensuite.

Along with its great location, quaint country architecture and nine foot ceilings, Excel’s Princeton also includes many energy-efficient and environmentally practical features such as low-e windows, high-efficiency furnace and hot water tank, and much, much more. Starting from the $420,000s, the Princeton has a lot to offer.  NL
