Mt. Alverstone in Okotoks introduces TimberCreek by Coco in style
Living luxuriously is at your fingertips when buying a home through Coco Homes executive living division, TimberCreek by Coco Homes.
TimberCreek is a relatively new venture for Coco Homes, which has been in business for more than 20 years. When Doug Bennett and Keray Cale bought the business six years ago they dreamed big, increasing the company’s annual productivity from 30 homes up to almost 90 this year. Timber Creek is one part of that expansion.
“This is executive living at its finest,” says Dawnita Magwood, Coco Homes’ sales and marketing manager.
The high-end division’s first show homes were built in Bearspaw, but were sold before they could be opened, so an Okotoks show home, built in Tri-Star’s Cimarron Country Estates, is the first chance for the public to see a TimberCreek show home first hand.
Magwood says a TimberCreek home would appeal to those looking to buy retirement home. “It could be empty nesters before they move into a condo. We are also finding that families living on acreages are coming to our area, as they need a closer commute for their children back and forth to hockey practice,” she says.
Now in Okotoks, the Mt. Alverstone floor plan is on display and this bungalow, at 1,762 square-feet, is not only spacious, but also extremely stylish. TimberCreek offers two estate specification packages, one with a rustic feel and another with cleaner lines. At the Okotoks model address, the rustic upgrade shows off what can be done with beautiful dark hardwood, wide casings and baseboards and faucets with a vintage vibe.
However, when it comes to options, notes Magwood, the sky is the limit with TimberCreek. To that end, homeowners are directed to meet with suppliers and manufacturers hand picked by TimberCreek by Coco to outfit their homes.
“We do not have a design centre,” Magwood explains, adding, “We rely on our suppliers expertise so our customers can see the full range of offerings rather than being limited to pick from only a few colours or a few patterns.”
The homes also come with plenty of eco-friendly and energy saving features—such as low-flow shower heads and toilets, Delta Wrap moisture control on exterior basement walls, programmable thermostats, low-E windows and fully insulated basements. The icing of all the special “eco” features is fiberglass doors, which have (unrecognizably) faux wood finishes and beautiful embellished glass cut outs.
TimberCreek by Coco Homes homeowners will always have an in-house contact in Erica Glassford, the Okotoks area manager, says Magwood. From the purchase to possession Glassford will be there to field questions and get answers her customers are looking for.
And the choices do not end with the exterior finishing. TimberCreek by Coco Homes offers ten bungalow floor plans and a pair of two-storey plans, which are also completely customizable.
Clients can, of course, bring in their own floor plan for review, Magwood adds. Meanwhile, by next summer a second TimberCreek show home will open in the adjacent Cimarron Country Estates. This time, on display will be the largest floor plan, a two-storey, 2,943-square-foot called Sparrowhawk. The home’s unique design boasts a ground floor master bedroom with additional bedrooms and living space on the second floor.
With lots ranging in size from 65 feet wide to 72 feet wide in Cimarron Country Estates, many designs can be accommodated, notes Magwood.
Nearby in Turner Valley, TimberCreek by Coco Homes will also be building in Seclusion Valley, a country residential-style development. This is a true jewel in Turner Valley and the builder is currently in the process of pre-selling the larger-than-average lots, which have definitely been generating interest!
Starting at $650,000, TimberCreek holds seven lots in Cimarron Country Estates and will add another 20-plus lots in the community of Seclusion Valley, where a show home is slated for a spring opening. NL
