Jayman Masterbuilt has proven itself to be bold and daring, as it is innovative in the design of its line of estate homes, its Infusion showhome in the new community of Sunset Ridge in Cochrane is a perfect example.

The 2,240-square-foot Infusion packs a stylish punch but remains true to its classic country feel that blends so well with the Western character of the new Cochrane community of Sunset Ridge.

“The Infusion displays the upscale, country-chic look that Cochrane buyers have grown to appreciate,” says area manager, Shelly Osten. “The Infusion mirrors the freedom and spaciousness of Cochrane itself, with its standard nine-foot ceilings on the main floor and the huge windows throughout.”

But what really sets the Infusion apart is the sense of drama and design panache that make it at once a comfortable family home and a perfect party place.

As you enter the front door, the soaring open-to-above foyer sets the stately feel of the home, giving visitors ample room to take off coats and shoes, while allowing for a warm welcoming presence. “Everyone who comes through the door makes a dramatic entrance all the time,” Osten says.

The den tucked to the side makes for an elegant home office or library, set apart from the rest of the main living areas for an extra sense of privacy. “This home really is designed to separate public living areas from the private quarters,” he adds.

It is also a home built for comfort and convenience, as well as for entertaining. There is plenty of cabinet space around the kitchen to store various pots and pans and other daily necessities and the U-shaped counter with raised eating bar provides for a perfect centrepiece for house parties.

The Infusion is also really meant to wow. The sun-drenched great room boasts a fireplace and a very distinguished looking built-in bookcase and the views of the town and the nearby Rockies afforded by the big windows in the dining nook is pretty much worth the price of the house.

“The show home sits on a ridge lot overlooking an environmental reserve and the views from this lot and others like it are really priceless; also you get to see numerous wildlife from this vantage point, especially from the 12-foot by-ten-foot deck,” Osten tells New Home Living. “We still have a good selection of these ridge lots,” he adds.

For added convenience, there is a butler pantry with computer desk tucked in a discreet corner in the main floor, a handy spot to pay bills or balance chequebooks. Another popular feature is the office-loft in the second floor that is a convenient spot for children to do their homework where parents can keep an eye on them. “Many showhome visitors actually like this feature better than having a bonus room, because it really is more functional,” Osten says.

The sumptuous master bedroom with its luxury ensuite—including a two-person shower stall with sliding glass doors—is a great retreat from the cares of the world. The two extra bedrooms are a very nice size as well.

Last by not least a developed walkout basement, with its own wet bar and lounge, continues the entertainment-at-home theme with all the creature comforts that offers. “What our buyers are really looking for is a lifestyle, that quiet, country charm that is rarely found these days, and Cochrane is still just 20 minutes away from the downtown so really you’re getting the best of both worlds,” he adds.

Starting at $615,000 (or on ridge lots, from $730,000), the Infusion is a classy family home with an unbeatable stately lifestyle appeal.  NL
