Cooper’s Crossing (news)
No Little Houses on the Prairie
If you haven’t had a chance to visit the Estates of Cooper’s Crossing by Westmark Holdings, Saturday, October 13 is your opportunity to make a day of it. Named for George and Eleanor Cooper, who settled in Airdrie back in 1892, the value of the enviable homes in The Estates hovers around the million-dollar mark, providing a level of residential elegance not found in other Airdrie communities.
Renowned builders Beattie Homes, Homes by Avi, McKee Homes and Trillium Developments have brought out their top models in the neighbourhood, which boasts tot lots, water features, and a five-kilometre park system connecting each enclave of homes—so extensive that 50 per cent of the lots in Cooper’s Crossing back onto it.
The Cooper’s Crossing show home parade is open 2 to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and noon to 5 p.m. on weekends and holidays. The grand opening for the show homes kicks off at noon October 13 and 14. To get there, take Highway 2 north to Airdrie, exit on Yankee Valley Road west and look for the community’s primary entry on your left hand side past the shopping complex.
