Pinnacle 2 sets a Sterling example in Evanston
Finding a comfortable family home that is easy to entertain in can be easier said than done. In today’s booming housing market, potential buyers are faced with a number of decisions that can often be overwhelming when searching for a home that specifically suits their needs.
But after taking a walk through the doors of the two-storey Pinnacle 2 show home in Evanston, it looks as though Sterling Homes has found the right ingredients to make buying a home an enjoyable experience.
The 2,351-square-foot home drips with comfort, luxury and practicality from the moment you enter the front door and prove lime green, brown and white really do compliment each other like a cherry on the top of a hot-fudge sundae.
“All the areas are very open to one another and very comfortable for a family to live in,” says area manager Lao Bell. “This home is a family home and it’s a home that will carry you through many years to come.”
Upon entering the home, the high ceilings and lighting upgrades set the stage for the beautiful ceiling-high cabinets that engulf the stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
The kitchen in the Pinnacle 2 offers plenty of space for cooking a magnificent feast, while the openness allows the master chef the chance to converse with guests sitting in the modern living room, which boasts a gas fireplace and is filled with natural light from the oversized windows.
Upstairs, another 1,265 square-feet of living space can be found, including a massive master bedroom with shag carpet and vaulted ceilings. Who needs a spa when you practically have one in the master ensuite, which contains his-and-hers sinks conveniently separated by a giant soaker tub that’s perfect for unwinding in at the end of a long day.
A large bonus room with vaulted ceilings provides a second cosy living space large enough for that big screen TV. Two more medium-sized bedrooms and a bathroom make up the rest of the upstairs of the home, which comes with a price tag of $610,000.
When you have a home like the Pinnacle 2 to come home to at the end of the day, life suddenly just got a whole lot better.
“It fills the needs for so many different people. It’s a very flexible home,” says Bell, who noted the home is appealing to buyers of all ages. “People come in and say this home just feels right.”
Sterling Homes began building in Evanston, Calgary’s most north-central community, approximately five years ago.
When designing the community, the developers of Evanston wanted to create a neighbourhood where neighbours are on a nickname basis with each other, not just people living beside one another.
The end result of this vision is fewer fences and more open spaces, back lanes and verandahs, which, in turn, create more opportunities for conversation.
“It’s a great family neighbourhood,” says Bell. “You know who you have as neighbours and the kids become friends. It’s a real sense of community.”
Evanston not only boasts views of the valley below, but also has access to major thoroughfares including Deerfoot Trail, Beddington Trail, Country Hills Boulevard and the soon to be completed Stoney Trail.
Sterling Homes is also building in the communities of Crestmont, Evergreen, Silverado and Pillars of Royal Oak, along with Crystal Ridge, Westmount and Drake Landing in Okotoks.
The Pinnacle 2 is located at 32 Evanspark Circle in northwest Calgary. NL
