CENTREX HOMES is known for their melding of imagination and engineering to create homes that offer innovative designs and features that reflect the homeowner’s needs and wants. The Maidstone, one of Centrex’s newest show homes located in Coventry Park, is no exception.

The location alone is enough to warrant a visit to this beautiful show home. Nicole Morse, sales associate, says that Coventry Park is one of the best areas for a new home development. “Unlike some neighbourhoods, Coventry Park is close to schools, shopping and is only five minutes to Deerfoot which allows quick access to other areas of the city,” says Morse. “Right around the corner you have the movie theatres and Superstore, as well as many other amenities.” However, location isn’t the only thing this show home has to offer; the Maidstone is beautifully designed both inside and out.

This 2,064-square-foot home includes a front attached garage and driveway, attractive exterior features and architecture, in addition to a truly inspired floor plan. As you enter the front foyer you are greeted with the unique corner closet, warm hardwood floors and an impressive stairway leading to the upper level that offers a gang-plank style look-out over the foyer below. Moving into the interior of the home, the beautiful open-concept floor plan allows you to view the elegant dining area to the left and the spacious kitchen to the right and a glimpse of the living room beyond. However, the design of the Maidstone offers a distinct separation of the dining room from the living room with a dividing wall, while maintaining the open feeling of the home with the two-way fireplace strategically placed within that wall. The kitchen however, remains open to both rooms allowing for socializing or entertaining guests. “The Maidstone has a nice open plan with lots of windows,” says Morse. “It’s just so nice and open and bright.” She also mentions that the plan has no unnecessary rooms to clean. “The plan is very functional,” says Morse. “But it makes you feel right at home when you first walk in.”

As you mount the stairs to the upper level you enter the bonus room with its three tall windows and the optional built-in desk beneath a fourth window. On the opposite side, there is the optional built-in bookcase and cabinetry. This room is designed to maximize the light and the space above the garage while offering a comfortable place to work or relax. As you cross the gang-plank – to the right you have the two secondary bedrooms with the main bathroom nestled between them, and the master bedroom directly ahead. Here is one of the most notable features of the Maidstone. This spacious room has a large walk-in closet on one end, and a fabulous ensuite at the other. As you enter the master, you can see the glassed in shower at the entrance to the ensuite, but there is also a luxurious soaker tub with beautiful bay windows, a vanity with full-sized mirror and another vanity with sink, as well as a separate watershed. Tiled floors and surrounds combined with elegant cabinetry are the perfect finishing touches to this wonderful ensuite.

Of course there are many other great features in the Maidstone such as nine-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, rounded wall corners and a great five-appliance kitchen package; all standard in this beautiful home. Starting at around the $490,000s including lot and GST; the Maidstone is also one of the more affordable homes. NL
