“Compared to Calgary, at 15 per cent growth, Chestermere is at a staggering 148 per cent growth over the same five-year period,” he says, confirming Statistics Canada’s findings in the census conducted in 2006.

Many services are in place, including Safeway, Tim Hortons, a dry cleaner, a doctor and two banks.  “More and more are coming. Chestermere is experiencing phenomenal growth.  Two new schools will be opening up in September 2007 as well,” notes Sandberg, adding property tax is approximately half the cost to that in Calgary.

“George Trutina, the developer of Rainbow Falls, is a man of vision with exquisite taste,” Sandberg continues. “He’s done a fantastic job out here. There will be $3.5 million worth of waterfalls throughout this community, with paved pathways that run along the canal system.
