Spacious & stylish
If you visit the Huntsview you may find it hard to leave
LOVERS OF ALL THINGS EQUESTRIAN may like the fact that the new southwest community of Silverado is close to the Spruce Meadows complex, but any homebuyer would be thrilled to live in this community, especially those who visit the Landmark Homes Huntsview show home.
It's clear when you enter Silverado that location is a major asset of this neighborhood. The community is just a two minute drive from the nearest CTrain station and within close proximity of shopping, theatres and restaurants.
In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find another new area that offers such easy access to not only entertainment, but the rest of the city. Close proximity to highway 22X, 37th Street, Deerfoot Trail and McLeod Trail also means community members will have quick access to just about anywhere in the city.
Equally impressive is the arts and crafts style Huntsview showhome from Landmark Homes. This home is not only spacious, at 2155 sq. feet, but the layout maximizes every inch of available space creating an open, roomy home that is perfect for families. Along with space this home features stylish touches such as built-in shelves on the main and second levels, large e-grade, energy efficient windows, an amazing kitchen and a gorgeous master bedroom.
Walking through the entrance of the showhome into the foyer you’re immediately aware of the carefully planned layout. A lifestyle room that can be used for an office, den or craft room is the first sign of design ingenuity.
From the entranceway walnut floors lead you like a red carpet into the area that will introduce you to the grandness of this contemporary home – the great room and adjacent kitchen and nook. Large windows stretch from just above the baseboards to nearly the top of the nine foot ceilings taking up most of the back wall of this section of the home’s main floor. A fifth window positioned above the kitchen countertop lets light pour into the home’s main attraction – the kitchen.
If the kitchen is the heart of the home then this house certainly has a big heart. The kitchen is not only gorgeous, but it’s huge The room boasts plenty of counter space for those who like to cook and entertain along with a large island that provides additional space for preparing dinner or just sipping coffee over a morning newspaper.
From the kitchen you can walk into the more than ample laundry room which flows into the mudroom and then on to the double attached garage. From there you can walk past the half bath and arrive back at the stairway to the second level.
A fantastic design element of this home is that when you arrive at the top of the stairway on the second level you get the sense that you’re still on the main floor. This is because the large bonus room, situated on the right side of house, is not only big and airy (at 19 x 13.75 feet) but it also boasts nine and a half foot ceilings and has a large main window and two flanking windows that again stretch almost from floor to ceiling. This room is impressive because it’s large enough to hold lounging furniture and a big screen television without making the space feel cramped – as many bonus rooms tend to feel.
Moving to the left side of the second level you’ll find the home’s three bedrooms. The two smaller rooms are well laid out and share a fair-sized main bathroom. But the large and more secluded master bedroom is the main attraction. This room has an amazing spa-like ensuite that includes a huge dual sink vanity, a freestanding tub and a glass shower. Once you see it you may never want to leave.
And why would you leave this fantastic showhome and wonderfully situated community, especially when Landmark Homes is currently offering six different models of homes with more to come in the future. Homes start around $475,000 and work their way up from there. The Huntsview starts in the $520,000 range depending on the lot of land and the features.
First possession dates for Landmark homes in the Silverado area will begin around December of this year or January 2007. Take a drive out to check this community and show home out – you may find the piece of luxury you’ve been searching for. NL
