Westmount is just one of the new communities that has popped up in Okotoks, and in the future it will offer a shopping area, school and fire hall. Buyers are drawn to the area by its small town appeal (there is a cap on Okotoks’ population), proximity to the mountains and ease of access to Calgary. Jager Homes is offering a selection of sophisticated home models to Westmount buyers.

“We’re selling to people who don’t like living in the city, but like to be close,” says Dennis Reed, area sales manager for Jager in Westmount.

Okotoks is especially attractive to families, with its safe atmosphere, plenty of outdoor activities and a selection of schools. “Okotoks has a lot of very good schools,” says Reed, adding that a K-9 school will be opening in Westmount in late 2007 or 2008.

The 1908 square foot Titanium show home gives buyers a taste of what Jager has to offer in the Westmount move-up market, with an open main floor, impressive standard specifications and a number of luxurious upgrades.
As soon as you walk in the front door, you are treated to a full view of the main floor, with the great room and dining room spreading out ahead of you through a wide archway. A stairway to your right cuts back toward the second floor, and a hallway to your left leads to the powder room and a large mudroom with laundry.

Done in distinguished, dark tones, the Titanium show home is sophisticated and still manages to be bright, thanks to a number of large windows. In the front foyer, a volume ceiling with hanging lights and high windows give an airy, welcoming feeling. The main floor is done in dark hardwood, which complements the stone fireplace in the great room, and the stainless steel appliances and granite counters in the kitchen.

The kitchen offers plenty of space for company and opens directly onto the dining area, which looks out over the deck and backyard, and includes a unique drop-down, boxed out ceiling detail with coffered centre and pot lights.
Upstairs, the main hallway is open to below, overlooking the entranceway. You are welcomed into the master suite by another archway, and yet another into the large ensuite, which features a walk-in closet, tile-framed soaker tub, shower and spacious vanity. Two bedrooms, one with a walk-in closet, and the main bath also open off the main upstairs hall.

Taped patterns on the floor in the basement give buyers an idea of how it could be finished. The tape marks where the walls would be for a large family room, office area, bedroom, storage space, pantry and full bath.

Jager aims to impress with their standard specifications, which include Moen faucets, granite kitchen countertops, five-inch baseboards, high efficiency furnace and water tank, and stainless steel appliance package with fridge, range, dishwasher and hood fan.

The Titanium show home is located at 4 Westmount Road in Okotoks. Show home hours are Monday to Thursday, 2 to 8 p.m., Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays, noon to 5 p.m.   NL
