Proving the third time’s the charm, Jayman unveils the Altair 3 in Copperfield

If the response to Jayman MasterBuilt’s latest show home in the move-up community of Copperleaf in Copperfield is any indication, the third time seems to be the charm for this popular floor plan.

Drawing on the success of its two predecessors, the Altair 3 is one of a pair of Jayman show homes which opened in the Hopewell community on April 8, and the brand-new digs have received nothing but rave reviews ever since.

“They improved the kitchen in this home, and now the island is just massive. It’s just a great working and entertaining space,” says Angelo Gentili, area manager for Jayman in Copperleaf.

The 2,300-plus-square-foot two-storey is by far a winner with show home tourers, says Gentili, particularly for its impressive footprint and well-planned spaces from top to bottom. “People just love this home – it is probably the one everyone picks as their favourite. And the fact that it’s almost 2,400 square feet is one big reason for that.” Sized for a family, the main floor is full of spots to bond as a group, especially over meals. A formal dining room, bright and cheery eating nook and ample room to belly up to the granite-topped island are all on the menu to that end.

Young couples just starting out seem to be lured by the expanse of the digs for accommodating a growing household as kids enter the picture, while ready-made families have plenty of nooks and crannies for every household member to lay claim to.

The show home also sports full basement development, including a billiards area, extra bedroom and bath. The luxurious lower level, sure to be a haven for teens or visiting older children, not only takes advantage of the palatial abode’s walkout lot, but it also beefs up the executive address by just shy of 1,000 square feet.

Upstairs, a bigger and better master bedroom and ensuite bath are among improvements to the original Altair’s offerings. Stepping into the space gives visitors the feeling of a boutique hotel, right down to the deep corner soaker tub and five-foot, oversized shower. Meanwhile, busy morning routines were taken into consideration with separate vanities for lord and lady of the manor.

A walk-in closet and windows aplenty complete the grand sleeping quarters, which are conveniently located at the opposite end of the upper level from kids’ rooms, to tuck some welcome privacy for everyone into the mix.
A loft is displayed as a working space with bookshelves and cork flooring underfoot, but the open area is also the ideal home for the family computer, or accommodating a loveseat and some comfy chairs for curling up with a good book.

The show home displays just one option for the upper level, which can also be crafted with four bedrooms rather than three, as well as adding on a full bonus room to make the most of space above the garage.

“People really seem to like that this home has four-bedroom and bonus room options,” explains Gentili.

The Altair 3 is one of a pair of show home gems by Jayman in the southerly move-up Hopewell community, which is offering homes exclusively by Jayman and Albi Homes from the mid-$300,000s to well above the half-million mark.

The Altair 3 can be built for just under the $400,000 mark in Copperleaf with current pricing.

Walking trails, park spaces and a trio of ponds scattered throughout the master-planned community seem to be a big draw for homebuyers, says Gentili, adding the first available lots were snapped up the very first day show homes opened, many by residents of nearby areas including existing parts of Copperfield. The plethora of big-box and outlet shopping opportunities along 130 Ave. is also a big seller, as are school sites planned for Copperfield, says Gentili.

Jayman’s Copperleaf show homes are open Monday to Thursday from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Fridays, holidays and weekends from noon to 5 p.m. To get there, take Deerfoot Tr. south to 130 Ave., and exit west on 52 St. Follow the signs to Copperleaf.     NL
