Morrison Homes’ Vista Mirage bungalow villas and single-family homes in High River offer the same upgraded finishing and quality for your money as the multiple Builder of the Year’s larger addresses.

“We’re very close to the Highwood River, and there’s lots of green space and views  with the river on both sides and wildlife all around,” says Les Robertson, area manager with Morrison in High River. “And you’re only 30 minutes from Calgary.”

Would-be Vista Mirage residents have a choice of two single-family bungalow designs spanning 1,400 square feet from $282,000 to $323,000, or a pair of bungalow villa styles which, with basement development, round out at just over 2,000 square feet to call home from less than $250,000.

Bungalow villas boast vaulted ceilings on the main floor, large master bedrooms and a den, as well as spacious great rooms, massive kitchens and full basement development including a fireplace. Two show suites, the Legacy 1 and 3, offer buyers a chance to sample room sizes and standard and optional appointments in the flesh.

“You get really big master bedrooms, with an ensuite with separate walk-in shower and tub, not to mention the standard finishing package is excellent,” says Robertson.

Meanwhile, those who prefer physical separation from neighbours can opt for 1,400- square-foot detached bungalows, also with vaulted ceilings, and open floor plans, in either the Newport or Reno models — the latter of which is available to tour and worth the drive to High River.

Buyers are automatically members of a local homeowners association, which includes maintenance being taken care of for them, as well as a sense of community sewn into their purchase.

“We are getting a lot of buyers from Calgary, and I think the homeowners association is a big driver,” says Robertson, adding retirees and semi-retired professionals, as well as snowbirds appreciate the built-in ability to get up and go without maintenance worries.

Included features in all stylish single-level digs at Vista Mirage include a full kitchen appliance package, security system, landscaping, a deck, and as upscale appointments from Decora switches, fireplaces in villa basements, to deluxe soaker tubs and separate walk-in showers in ensuites.

High River is really coming into its own, says Robertson.

“It really has good shopping and restaurants, and quite a bit of culture and history. But the biggest thing that people comment on is the peaceful quiet and being able to walk down to town over the bridge.”

The Highwood Golf Course is stone’s throw away, while another nine-hole golf course is in the works to neighbour the community, so duffers are sure find plenty of return for their green at Vista Mirage in High River.

Vista Morrison’s Mirage in High River is selling fast, and now entering the final phase with a limited number of single-family home lots and 50 villas still up for grabs.
