We all have fantasies of living like royalty – a stately home overlooking the golf course; with features such as a spacious, elegant kitchen, and a great room with volume ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows; enjoying summers at our own private lake. Place all this in an idyllic, family-friendly setting and you’ve got the makings of a dream. Fortunately, that dream can be a reality.

Enter Coco Homes with their brand-new Glencoe model, in the Crystal Green phase of Okotoks’ Crystal Ridge. The model has been selling well since the grand opening just a few short weeks ago. The Glencoe showhome measures 2383 square feet and is wowing customers with its open and grand main floorplan.

“The buzzword is ‘open’; people keep saying that,” says Brian Selders, area manager for Coco Homes.

“This is a great entertaining home,” he adds. “And it also serves well just for family purposes.”

Good thing, because both the home and the community are extremely appealing to families. The Glencoe shouts more “luxury” than “family home,” but a second look ensures that all the needed features of any functional family home base are present and well-designed. The main floor is home to the open kitchen, dining area and great room, as well as a den and mudroom. The star here is the open-concept living area. In the kitchen, ample counter space is both functional and beautiful in a tiled-look marble, while elegant cupboards and a walk-thru pantry offer plenty of storage space. The counter also features a raised eating bar and overlooks the dining area and great room.

A marble-topped buffet with extra cupboard space and wine rack beneath extends from the kitchen counter into the dining room, while a built-in desk with cupboards can act as an in-kitchen work space or a convenient phone desk. None of this takes away from the ample space of the dining area however, and you can be sure you will have enough room to entertain as many people as you like.

The great room, meanwhile, features a volume ceiling, up to which both the windows and the decorative arch above the fireplace reach. Both the great room and the dining area, as well as the deck and backyard, accessible off the dining area, overlook the Crystal Green golf course.

Upstairs, visitors will immediately notice the open-to-below loft bonus room, which overlooks the great room as well as the golf course. Off of this bonus room lies a short hallway with niche feature shelving, which leads to both the laundry room and a bedroom.

The main hall leads back from here to the main bathroom, another bedroom, and, at the front of the home, the spacious master suite. The master ensuite, located through an archway from the bedroom, is large and boasts a soaker tub with tile surround, a long vanity, and a wide shower with seating. Meanwhile, the walk-in closet is accessed separately and overlooks the front drive.

Families are drawn to the community because of the private lake with beach house, and the proximity to schools as well as recreation. Dr. Morris Gibson elementary school is within walking distance, and a new high school will be opening soon nearby. There is also a Catholic elementary school very close, as well as the Wyle Athletic Park just down the street.

Crystal Ridge lies at the northeast corner of Okotoks, along Milligan Drive. To find the Coco Homes show home, turn left at the first set of lights in Okotoks, then left again at 32nd Street. The show home parade is located at your first right. Show home hours are Monday to Thursday, 2 pm to 8 pm and Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 pm. Contact Brian Selders at 938-3730 for more information.
