Love the idea of being “in the country” but without the isolation, inconvenience and increasing expenses? Then you’ve just got to take a drive out to Signature Estates. This Macalgary Development community is located on the northeastern-most edge of Calgary, meaning you can relax and enjoy the pastoral views of equestrian acreages and the gorgeous Rocky Mountains.
Spend your leisure time walking the interpretive trails through the near-by 17-acre wetland park with cascading waterfalls and tranquil babbling brooks. Explore the immense variety of natural wildlife, the numerous playgrounds and parks and the easy access to shopping amenities. (You won’t believe this development is only 15 minutes from downtown.) In fact location is what is making this project so pleasing to many buyers.

Signature Estates is close to urban amenities, including schools, groceries, and shopping centers while still retaining that quiet small town feeling.

Oh and yes, you’ll be enjoying your new home because the homes in Signature Estates are to put it simply - wonderful.  The builders in Signature Estates were chosen because each has raised the bar when it comes to planning, designing, building and finishing homes for Calgarians.

Signature Estates is the most affordable wetland community in the city, and homes will range around $300,000. “It is an estate community with 36 foot to 38- foot wide lots with no back alleys to maintain that exclusive feel,” says Macalgary Development project coordinator, Annette Nielsen. There are 200 lots, including view lots with unobstructed views of the mountains and the cityscape, she adds.

Centrex Homes has two new show homes with nine-foot ceilings. The 2460 square-foot Tipperary features a master bedroom with its own retreat space and a pampering ensuite. There is a smart computer station built in to the staircase on the way to the bedrooms and bonus room.  The main floor is open, and provides an easy flow for traffic especially from the kitchen to the more formal dining room.

The 2060 square-foot Greystone is one clever design meant to make your life so much more enjoyable. A flex room near the front of the main floor a jaw dropping two-storey feature wall with a two-way fireplace through to the family room. The kitchen is a chef’s dream thanks to extended counters and storage. Upstairs, the three bedrooms are generous and the upper floor laundry keeps the boring chore out of the way when company comes.

Next door, the Ravenview Homes Colorado is 2291 square feet of family life. A two-way fireplace separates the eating nook and great room, there’s a separate formal dining area, a den and a front living room. Upstairs the must-be-a-parent-architect placed the master suite and its huge walk in closet at one end of the plan and then gave three more bedrooms for the kids at the other end.

Pacesetter Homes has two dynamite plans to tour. The Palomino 4 at 2040 square-feet features an oversized family room and dining area, well organized kitchen and a flattering flew room. Going up, the stairs either take you straight up to the overwhelmingly large bonus room with vaulted ceiling, or around the corner to the three bedrooms. The master ensuite features a jetted tub and separate shower.

The Pacesetter Santiago, at 2336 square-feet, is packed with family focused ideas. The main floor kitchen can accommodate several cooks. The flex room provides space for a home office and even the main floor laundry is big enough for helpers. The second storey features the master suite and its large ensuite at one end defining the words “parental retreat”. A bonus room separates the other three bedrooms, which gives the kids a sense of “their own space” too.

The show home parade at Signature Estates is only missing one thing… you.
