Homes by Avi has a deep understanding of what it takes to make a house a home, but their big picture view extends not to just making distinctive individual homes but in creating visually vibrant communities that become the idyllic backdrop of suburban life itself.

Homes by Avi’s stunning new collection of homes in the southeast community of New Brighton is Calgary suburbia personified. Their exclusive selection of homes distinguish themselves from the rest of the community with an abiding sense of street appeal and architectural perspective that makes the most of their ideal location by the community’s 12-acre Brighton Pond and 20-acre central park.

Wide front porches and enticing second-floor balconies give each home in this first phase of the Homes by Avi enclave a friendly and enticing curbside charm that has become rare in these days when garage fronts have become the trend. Their extensive use of stone, shakes and James Hardie siding create a sense of community that enhances the English countryside charm that the area was designed to recreate.

The homes in this section of this Carma community will all be single family homes with rear detached garages, says Homes by Avi Marketing Manager Chris Pollen.

“What Carma told us was that they wanted to look across the pond and see a distinctive row of homes that act as a centerpiece for the community. We believe that we have been successful in accomplishing that,” he says. “This is why we put extra attention on exterior details, using James Hardie siding, stone, shake and other high-end materials that will expand on our vision for this community.”

In total there will be 20 lots in this first phase of Homes by Avi’s section of New Brighton and homes here will range from 1,600 square-feet to 2,100 square-feet. “Distinctive architecture aside, one of the most unique features of this exclusive phase is that there are more than a few instances where home owners can build a three-car garage or a two-car garage with a workshop,” Pollen points out.

One of the new show homes is the 1,912-square-foot Whitney, which distinguishes itself through its wide front porch and front door squarely in the centre of the home. “Having the front door sit right in the middle of the front porch is an exciting exterior feature, but inside it gives an even bigger impression of the home, creating a lot of space and allowing the room to breathe,” he says.

The 2,064-square-foot Robertson has stylish shake siding and an arched front entry but its most remarkable feature is the second floor balcony outside the loft. “Imagine waking up on a Sunday morning and having your coffee on your second floor balcony and relaxing to the peaceful view of the park and the pond right outside,” Pollen adds.

In addition to the two show homes there are five other floor plans available in their New Brighton project. Needless to say each one is imbued by Homes by Avi’s stylish design flair. Just check out the unique dark stain bamboo flooring in one of their show homes here.

Pollen says they are holding the grand opening of their New Brighton show homes on September 19. There will be two show homes and four spec homes that will initially be constructed. “We wanted the public to get a real sense of our vision here and we waited to open until we could present them a sense of the emerging streetscape.”

He adds that he expect sales for these homes to exceed expectations. “Considering the value and location they offer, they are very competitively priced,” Pollen says.

The icing on this extremely well-presented cake is that New Brighton is already well on its way to becoming one of the most sought after communities in the southeast and recent expansion and improvements to the 52nd Street corridor will only serve the community well. “There are lots of schools nearby, the unique shops of High Street and the malls on 130th Avenue make this a little piece of heaven,” he adds.
