Last chance in Westmount
The Frontier 2 show home is a key reason for Reid Built’s success in Okotoks
Classy elegance best describes the Frontier 2 bungalow from Reid Built Homes, which has been one of the most popular models for the builder in Okotoks’ Westmount community. And its stunning show home may be the last chance buyers have to own this singular model in this equally distinctive neighbourhood.
Reid Built has met with such success in Westmount that it is down to its last three properties, including its two show homes, among which is the Frontier 2. And it is easy to see why this particular model has been such a hit.
Arched bay windows that stretch nearly from floor to the vaulted ceiling give the main floor such abundant natural light that enhances its stately 1,344-square-foot expanse. The stone detail archway leading to the master bedroom, the handsome and functional centre island, and the rich maple hardwood flooring add to its ambiance of elegance.
ReidBuilt Homes’ Sarah Boyer says the open floor plan and the terrific use of space has made the Frontier a very popular model. “We get a lot of empty nesters buying this model because of its functionality and elegance.”
She adds that its entertainment value cannot be overlooked. “Even if you are downsizing, that doesn’t mean you stop entertaining and the Frontier 2 certainly makes a fabulous backdrop for parties.”
The great room is as dramatic as they come, with the big bay windows framing the fireplace along the far wall, the granite countertops on the centre island and L-shaped kitchen counters match the cherry stain maple cabinetry and give it an air of stately magnificence.
The kitchen is very functional with lots of room to work in with the extra wide counters and it also has plenty of storage space that everyone needs, including a big corner pantry.
The spacious foyer is warm and inviting to guests, especially with the abundance of plant ledges surrounding it. “It’s just another extra detail that makes the home seem friendlier and gives owners extra space to give their home a personal design touch,” Boyer adds.
The show home’s finished 817-square-foot basement is also a nice touch and adds another dimension to the easy lifestyle the Frontier 2 affords. There are two bedrooms downstairs with a full bath and an attractive entertainment space with stylish built-in shelving around a widescreen TV.
It is still very competitively priced and the show home itself can be bought for $484,650, including home, lot and GST.
“The neighbourhood of Westmount itself is wonderful, it is very family oriented with a public school (K-9) opening in the spring. It has a lot of green space and amenities nearby,” Boyer says. “And the Frontier 2 represents one of the last chances you are going to get to buy a Reid Built home here,” she adds.
Westmount is a short, comfortable 15-minute drive to south Calgary. Winding through the community and its substantial 25 acres of green space are treelined paths. This has substantially more open space than is found in comparatively sized neighborhoods.
Reid Built is one of the most recognizable names in the new home industry in Calgary, and has been building homes for thousands of families across Alberta for more than 25 years. It prides itself on building some of the most well-designed, top-quality homes in the region, and even if you miss your chance in Westmount, Reid Built Homes is still very active in Airdrie and Chestermere and coming soon in new and exciting communities in Calgary.
