That’s entertainment!
Shane Homes’ Triumph is aptly named with its winning family entertainment value
If you were looking for a home with an eye for entertaining, then Shane Homes’ latest show home masterpiece in Airdrie’s King’s Heights community would make for the perfect casting.
The Triumph’s elegant wet bar in the upstairs media room — all gleaming granite countertops and stately cabinetry — is at once a crowning feature for the entertainment value of the home. But more importantly, it creates an environment where the family can gather for comfortable movie nights and share bonding moments.
“Having the optional wet bar upstairs by the media room is a nice touch. Especially if the family has no immediate plans to develop their basement, they can get a very stylish media room right away to entertain friends and family,” says area manager, Margie Brekke.
“The media room is located apart from the sleeping quarters as well, so there is still a sense of privacy for the homeowners even if their kids have their friends over in the media room,” she adds.
The seamless blending of style and function is ultimately what makes the Triumph the success it is, and Brekke says it has been her biggest seller in this southeastern Airdrie neighbourhood since they opened in July last year.
“People just find the Triumph to have the right blend of a perfectly flowing, open design, with lots of functionality features — including walk-through pantry and upstairs laundry — at just the right size,” Brekke points out.
The standard Triumph model is at 1,865 square-feet, although the show home itself is at 1,968 square-feet. “This two- storey home with attached double garage remains under the 2,000 square-feet mark, which attracts a lot of move-ups from garage-less homes or apartments,” she adds.
It has lots more outstanding qualities that make it popular with visitors; including an open-to-above foyer made even more distinctive with its designer tile detail flooring, side windows that give it a warm welcoming feel, and an arched entryway to the rest of the main floor.
The show home has a polished ‘Country Cottage’ feel to it, enhanced by the stylish aged-look maple hardwood and arts-and-crafts-style cabinetry. “You feel at home the moment you walk in,” Brekke says.
The kitchen has a central island with a raised breakfast bar, double sinks and dishwasher underneath for easy convenience in preparing food and cleaning up afterwards. The open layout allows you to be in the kitchen and still participate in what is taking place in the nook and great room.
There are numerous cabinets and a corner walk-through pantry provides plenty of storage space for appliances, and keeps the wide countertops free to use as additional workspace, she says.
The great room is also ideal for entertaining while still encouraging a close and cozy family environment with a corner fireplace to set the mood.
There is a spacious owner’s bedroom with four-piece ensuite, including a soaker tub flanked by his-and-hers vanities and an oversized shower stall.
“It is a perfect home for families with older kids, especially as the two spare rooms are more than adequately sized to fit the needs of grown children,” Brekke adds. Adding to its allure is that granite is standard in the two full and one half bath and kitchen, as is the tile flooring in a portion of the main floor.
Another reason why the Triumph has been so popular is its price, starting at $375,900. “You’ll be lucky to find a house of similar value in Calgary at this price, the size of lots you can get in Airdrie are also a fair size larger than what you can get in Calgary,” she points out.
“Shane Homes’ ability to customize the floor plans to suit your needs is also unparalleled and you can see that the Triumph is very flexible with a number of options that are readily available to buyers,” she says.
