LOVING AIRDRIE LIVING | The wonder of Reunion
Small town appeal evident in Hopewell community
Airdrie is a city on the grow. More and more people are choosing this community to live and raise their families because of its small-town feel, friendly atmosphere and proximity to Calgary. Answering the needs of these new residents is Reunion, a neighbourhood by five-time Developer of the Year winner, Hopewell Residential Communities, developers of Copperfield, Elbow Valley and Mahogany in Calgary. Reunion is a place where families gather to live, play and enjoy the advantages that only a tight-knit community can offer. It is a place where residents have it all — generous homes on spacious lots, an easy commute to the city and a wide assortment of nearby amenities, including schools, shopping and activities.
“Buyers who are looking for exceptional value but aren’t willing to compromise location or architectural standards tend to connect to Reunion,” says Scott Hamilton, Sales and Marketing Manager with Hopewell Residential Communities. “Airdrie has it all in terms of lifestyle and day-to-day amenities. Our community appeals to Calgarians, but also to people already living in Airdrie who are looking to move up and establish themselves.”
Reunion incorporates four architectural styles into their two-storey homes — Craftsman, Classical, Prairies and Arts and Crafts, appealing to a broad variety of tastes. Buyers can also choose between detached-garage, laned homes from 1,033 to 1,704 square-feet, or attached-front-garage homes from 1,614 to 2,341 square-feet for further diversity. There are two showhome parades, featuring homes by Excel Homes, McKee Homes and Sabal Homes, which demonstrate some of the many different floor plans that are available. Prices start in the $280,000s for Sabal-exclusive laned homes, and the mid-$300,000s for attached garage homes by all builders.
“These homes feature a variety of floor plans to meet different needs and lifestyles with gorgeous architectural details that appeal to both modern and traditional tastes,” says Carlie Leask, the Sales and Marketing Co-ordinator for Hopewell.
An additional 34 lots have just been released in phase 4 of Reunion, due to high demand from people who are ready to embrace a different quality of life. All three builders are taking lot reservations with a deposit, ensuring that buyers can have the lot they prefer until pre-sales officially begin in June.
“Besides the draw of beautiful home styles, Reunion has several desirable amenities, including the community’s large central park — complete with picnic tables and an open air pavilion, great for family gatherings and reunions — which connects with a pathway system that will surround a beautiful pond,” says Leask.
And while residents of many newly-built communities find that their homes are far from practical needs such as grocery stores, restaurants and shopping, Reunion is mere minutes from all these, including the new Cross Iron Mills shopping complex in Balzac, with its many retail outlets. And then of course, Calgary is just a short drive down Veterans Boulevard to Highway 2 South. It’s hard to find fault with a living arrangement that will let you take advantage of the benefits of both small-town and city living!
The community of Reunion offers people the chance to put down roots and enjoy all that Airdrie has to offer, without breaking the bank or restricting their lifestyle. And with future plans for an elementary school, seniors’ complex and multi-family housing, there really is something for everyone in Reunion.
