The pearl is the gemstone for a 30th anniversary, but for Cedarglen Homes, which is celebrating its third decade in the business this year, the real gem is the awesome anniversary packages they are offering to buyers.

One of the homes included in the package is their popular Aspen, and one look at their 2,092-square-foot show home in the prestigious neighbourhood of New Brighton will convince anyone that the anniversary package puts a very distinctive premium in the look and feel of the home.

“What we offer is an all-inclusive package that everyone seems to want for their homes , and not just inside but outside, as well,” says Cedarglen Homes’ sales and marketing manager Allison Harvie. “This includes hardwood flooring, wrought iron railings, and granite countertops for the interior, and sod and fencing for the outside.”

What’s even better is that this whole incentive package will be offered in New Brighton even beyond the 30th Anniversary celebrations. “This package will still be offered for the 75 lots left in new exclusive phase in New Brighton,” Harvie says. “This gives people a chance to become part of this enchanting neighbourhood in a home that really answers all their lifestyle needs.”

Cedarglen’s offering has been very well received and the multi-awarded builder has already completed 70 sales this year, with The Aspen leading the way.

“The Aspen has been one of our best-selling models. It’s combination of family-friendly size and design, as well as its enticing price point has made it a clear favourite, Harvie says.

The Aspen has sold more than 200 models since it was first introduced in February 2010 as a show home in Auburn Bay, she adds. “It’s the perfect square-footage and the perfect price point for a lot of first-time homebuyers and move-up buyers.”

The ceramic tile flooring in the mudroom, main bath and ensuite and the five-inch hardwood flooring in the main floor — all standard in the 30th Anniversary package — lend an air of executive finesse that emphasizes the functionality of the entire floor plan.

Granite countertops on the centre island with ledge extension and all along the kitchen and bathroom counters add to this luscious layout. The show home also has maple railing with iron spindles through the staircase that adds drama and character to the home, and works especially well in Aspen’s open-to-above staircase. The standard is for seven-lineal-feet of this railing, which is a rarity in the new home market.

The kitchen gets a lot of praise from visitors who note the amazing functionality of the layout, as the centre island with the raised ledge adds a lot of storage and work space, not to mention that it makes a great focal point for parties.

The raised ceiling in the bonus room upstairs enhances the feeling of spaciousness and even comes with a corner fireplace. “It provides a great room for interaction with the family,” Harvie adds.

There are a lot more upscale features that Cedarglen is offering as standard in its homes at no extra cost, including high-efficiency furnaces, spray foam insulation, and state-of-the-art water tanks. “It’s not just what you see that’s been upgraded but everything else that makes a home more livable have been added as well,” she says.

The Aspen starts at $415,000 in New Brighton, but Cedarglen Homes offers models that start in the $360,000s here too.
