Jayman MasterBUILT has a reputation for creating some of the most compelling home designs with style and panache and an eye on family-friendly functionality, their new show homes in the lake community of Auburn Bay proves the point beyond any doubt.

Jayman is beginning sales for its exclusive phase in the popular southeast lake community where the multi-awarded home builder will have 65 exclusive lots in the latest phase of this similarly award-winning community from Brookfield Residential.

“We’re attracting a lot of hospital staff looking towards the future with the imminent opening of the South Calgary hospital,” says area sales manager Greg Mitchell. “A lot of families are liking what we have to offer and they feel that the neighbourhood — with the lake and all its amenities plus all the infrastructure development going on – is a place where they can set roots in.”

The massive Seton commercial complex development going up besides the new hospital will have retail shops, restaurants and a recreational centre among others, and will be a rich amenity source for Auburn Bay residents. This goes really well with the lakeside cottage-style lifestyle the community espouses with its 43-acre lake and beachfront, even as their state-of-the-art Auburn House community hall gets a $1.9 million expansion.

But it is Jayman’s distinctive line of homes that is really the deciding factor for most, just a short tour of their two new show homes here is enough to convince most as they display the most alluring design features. The Allure and Esteem have found a lot of fans since they opened in September, displaying the dazzling design edge that Jayman is famous for.

One thing to note though is that both show homes also represent larger versions that will go into the new exclusive phase — the 2,054-square-foot Allure has the 2,300-square-foot Cladwell as its counterpart, while the 2,346-square-foot Esteem has the 2,517-square-foot Stoneleigh.

The Stoneleigh and Cladwell — for the most part — will be only in Jayman’s exclusive phase, which have bigger lot sizes, while the Allure and the Esteem can go into any other appropriate lot in the rest of Auburn Bay.

The Allure shows Jayman’s knack for design success and its kitchen features an alluring layout that includes an L-shaped kitchen counter with raised eating ledge at one end facing the dining room, and a centre island with an extended edge on the other side facing the great room. “It’s wonderful for entertaining, it provides plenty of space where guests can gather and converse, while also providing the busy family with two handy spot for quick meals,” Mitchell says.

The use of a stylish laminate on the countertops make the design pop and shows a terrific inexpensive alternative to granite or quartz tops. The stainless steel appliances and the chic designer tile backsplash create an executive feel for the home. The Allure starts at $452,900, while the Cladwell is in the $460,000s plus GST.

The Esteem/Stoneleigh, meanwhile, has the bang on look show homes aspire for, seductively sleek and well put together with the family’s comfort in mind, and featuring plenty of the upgrades that show visitors the extensive potentials this model has. They certainly have the room for it as the Esteem starts at 2,346 square-feet while the Stoneleigh is at 2,517 square-feet. The Esteem starts at $466,900 while the Stoneleigh is in the $500,000s.

The mudroom accessed from the garage perfectly illustrates how pitch-perfect design combines with family-friendly functionality, as it doubles as a walk-in coat rack giving owners plenty of space to shed their outerwear in the comfort of the home. The foyer is a likewise wide welcoming space and the hardwood flooring in a slate-like stain gives it an even warmer feel.

It features the full Chef’s Fit kitchen including appliances that give it a seamless design straight out of a Food Network cooking show, as well as the InStyle attached ensuite for the full effect of what an absolutely stunning retreat the owner’s bathroom can be. The back-to-back vanities – a singular design style — could easily be mistaken as part of the upgrades but it is a standard feature.

The bonus room at the top of the stairs has been converted into a home theatre complete with glass doors and partitions to give it that full theatre effect. “Both homes are of a timeless design that nicely fits a family of four, but it is certainly equipped to handle more than that,” Mitchell adds.
