Passion with innovation
Innovations by Jayman’s single-car attached garage homes debut in Chaparral Valley
Innovation without passion is as pointless as love without meaning, it’s a point Innovations by Jayman is well aware of and has been the underlying philosophy in their aim to provide the most refreshingly innovative homes for first time homebuyers. Take their latest offerings in Chaparral Valley and you will know what this means.
Innovations by Jayman has made a name for itself in creating some of the most sophisticated starter homes in the market — containing every design feature and nuance that knowledgeable buyers look for in their first home — and yet remain within the budget of those just starting out in life.
“We try to include everything you can find in a move up home in our starter home — from an attached garage to attached ensuites and bonus rooms — and still remain affordable,” says area manager Ashley Noer.
Their two newly-opened single-car front attached garage show homes in the southeast community of Chaparral Valley illustrates how well the award-winning builder has grasped this concept of innovation with passion.
The single-car front attached garage home is being introduced to Chaparral Valley with The Azul and The Nuvis, which open on February 28. Both models have been certified hits since they debuted in New Brighton a few years back and they seem a perfect fit for Chaparral Valley’s young and vibrant demographic.
Both have single-car attached garages in front with driveways long enough for tandem parking, both use the bonus room option that increased their living space by some 200 square-feet from the standard 1,480-square-foot range. Both have upstairs laundries (The Azul has a stacked model, while The Nuvis has a side-by-side one) and both start at $337,579 although having the bonus room option adds about $10,000.
That’s where the similarities end, as each one appeals to a different set of homebuyers.
The Nuvis is a study in family-friendly functionality. Designed in warm hues of brown and taupe, the show home presents a delightful picture of a sleek suburban style that’s open and friendly and surprisingly seductive.
The kitchen is the definition of style and substance with lots of counterspace, including an extra desk/counter by the refrigerator. The island has both raised and ledged portions creating an easy spot for quick meals for the family on the go, and a handy entertaining place with lots of seating space, not to mention storage space. The eye-catching laminate used along the counters and the engaging wall paper in the living room showcase Innovations by Jayman’s critical interior design eye as well.
The Nuvis has a drop-down ceiling, too, in the kitchen for that added stylish touch, the bonus room is at the front end of the home and is a step down from the rest of the second storey to give it a further aesthetic touch. It is likewise big enough for a home theatre with comfortable seating capacity.
The Azul, meanwhile, has a very urban vibe with its linear kitchen that takes the open concept design to another level. All the kitchen appliances and cabinetry go along the wall of kitchen, giving the main floor an even more free-flowing design. The big windows generously used in this corner lot home make the 661-square-foot main floor seem larger than it is.
The Azul has a very modern look to it, a very sexy, chic feel made even more pronounced by the black-and-white colour theme of the show home. Drop ceilings along the kitchen make a subtle delineation to give visual separation to the rooms, abetted by the tile flooring used from the foyer and the elegant laminate hardwood through the rest of the main floor.
The bonus room is located right up the stairs smack in the middle of the 983 square-foot second floor. It offers a wide communal area that’s big enough for a comfy sectional sofa, and a 72-inch flat screen TV looks right at home making it the ideal spot for movie nights with friends and family.
The master bedroom has a walk-thru closet with executive-looking shelving on both sides, leading to the three-piece ensuite that’s as relaxing and sublime as it is practical.
The black carpeting adds to the show home’s modern appeal, and surprisingly it doesn’t diminish the light, airy feel of the home and instead accentuates the judicious use of space throughout.
Noer says that these single-car garage models are the happy middle ground between a townhome and a detached garage single-family home, that successfully marries affordability with what buyers want.
It is also among the last of the limited opportunities left to own a home in one of Calgary’s most exclusive enclaves. “There are only five phases in Chaparral Valley and we’re approaching build out already. People like it here because it’s in a secluded part of town seemingly far from the city but with plenty of already existing amenities including schools — both public and separate — nearby.
There are also loads of outdoor and indoor recreational opportunities around with Fish Creek Park right at your backdoor and Blue Devil golf course just down the road,” she says. Innovations by Jayman’s lots are on a cul-de-sac backing onto a ravine giving it that extra allure of being close to nature.
