Melcor’s part of Sherwood is a continuation of the portion of the community previously developed by Genesis Land. “Sherwood won the 2004 SAM Awards for new community of the year, and we want to continue to build on that success.”

“The whole northwest has really taken off. Accessibility is key to any community, and Sherwood is tops in this department with Stoney Trail and Shaganappi Trail right at its borders. There are numerous amenities nearby with the airport and downtown just a short drive away, Castelino says.
Shane Homes’ Leera show home here has been quite popular not only with young families but, surprisingly enough, with young single professionals as well, says area manager Claude Smith.
“First-time homebuyers have been attracted to the luxury and convenience the Leera has to offer, while single professionals look at it as an investment in their future. The starting price of $485,000 including lot and GST is well within their budget,” he says.
Homes by Avi, meanwhile, says it offers 11 different two-storey plans in Sherwood, including their popular Caldwell model which they chose to be the show home here for its family-friendly appeal. Their homes here range in size from 1,800 to over 2,300 square-feet.
