It’s an exciting time to be looking for homes in Airdrie right now. There are tons of new communities and home models that can match any buyers’ wants and needs, but what really has everyone talking is the entry of Chinook Gate.

The new community of Chinook Gate is Brookfield Residential’s first ever community in Airdrie and it promises to bring a new perspective to family-friendly living into this thriving housing market.

“We are very excited to explore Airdrie, build a relationship with the City and give back to the community!” says Mary Aucoin, Brookfield Residential’s Marketing Lead.

The community, which will be formally opened Spring 2018, is located south of Yankee Valley Boulevard and west of Chinook Winds Park.

“It is an amazing location with Chinook Winds Park in your backyard, and down the street from all city amenities; shopping, schools and public green spaces,” Aucoin says.

Chinook Gate will feature four home builders. Brookfield Residential will have duplex homes and laned single family; Avalon MasterBuilder will be offering townhomes; Excel Homes will have three-storey duplexes, laned single family and move-up single-family homes; and lastly Airdrie’s own McKee Homes will be selling traditional single family move-up homes.

“Chinook Gate will be an active family friendly environment and we can’t wait to help build the neighbourhood bond within this boutique community,” Aucoin says.

Chinook Gate residents will live steps away from Chinook Winds Park’s baseball diamonds, hockey rink, playground, skate park, spray park and future toboggan hill. Moms and dads will love walking their kids to a new K – 9 school using the community nature pathways.

“We hope to build a partnership and host lots of fun events with Chinook Winds Park as the community boarders it. Families will have a lot to look forward to in living here.”

Chinook Gate will have a mix of presentation centres and show homes that will open in early 2018, with Excel and Brookfield Residential opening for sale in late 2017.

Airdrie is a young city that continues to grow, according to the 2016 census it has grown 5.37 per cent to 61,842 residents. With a wide range of housing options available, people are discovering that Airdrie offers a small town lifestyle with big city amenities.

“We want to be part of this growth,” Aucoin says. “Airdrie is an energetic young city and Chinook Gate will bring new value to Airdrie’s small town lifestyle.”
