Just as Jack goes with Jill, Cedarglen Homes’ new paired homes in the Parks of Harvest Hills perfectly matches the growing community’s vision of stylish affordability.

Cedarglen Homes is excited to launch their brand new paired homes in a new area within The Parks of Harvest Hills that will be known as The Gardens. Four new show homes that perfectly depict the many variations of the duplex floor plan are opening on March 16.

Located on a charming cul-de-sac within this young north community just off Deerfoot Trail, these new paired homes are being built around a central green-space with convenient access to Harmony Park, beautiful walking paths and close to all kinds of shopping and other amenities.

There will be four new models available — the Orchid, the Blossom, the Peony and the Lotus, and they range in size from 1,788 to 1,993 square-feet. Each will have a show home to give visitors the full effect of what it will be like to live here.

They start from the $450,000s, including GST, which area sales manager Mike Dwyer says is a pretty good deal. “Think of it as getting a move-up home at a starter home price,” he tells New Home Living.

These new paired home models are exclusive to Parks of Harvest Hills and Dwyer thinks they exceed all expectations of a duplex. “They are quite larger than most paired homes we see in the market today, some are even on walk-out lots that back onto green space,” he says. And for a limited time, Cedarglen Homes is offering to develop basements of these paired homes to maximize their lifestyle potential.

The Parks of Harvest Hills puts the emphasis on park-side living. It has almost 33-acres of community parks and green spaces to enable 90 per cent of all single-family homes to have direct access to the parks network. These trails and pathways will connect the community to the commercial, educational, retail and recreational amenities nearby. “The Parks of Harvest Hills will commit more than 28 per cent of the 26-hectare (65-acre) community to accessible open space, along with the 1.4-hectare (3.5-acre) water feature,” Dwyer adds.

Cedarglen Homes’ new paired homes adds an important middle ground between the townhomes and apartment condos available at The Parks of Harvest Hills’ The Rise, and Cedarglen’s larger single-family move-up homes. Paired homes are available with either single- or double-attached garages. “We want to create a complete community, and with these choices we think we’re capable of offering everything to fit most budgets and lifestyles,” Dwyer says.

All paired homes have three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths, walk-in closets and attached ensuites in the master bedroom, and upper floor laundry, and even a flex room upstairs for some. Buyers can choose their finishings from Cedarglen’s superior standard selections. “With engineered stone countertops laminate flooring, and tile floor to bath and laundry, these are sure to please a wide variety of styles and tastes,” says sales representative, Ashley Falsetti.

At build-out, the Parks of Harvest Hills will have a limited offering of about 200 single-family homes by Cedarglen Homes and about 500 multi-family units in two phases of development by its multi-family division, Cedarglen Living. “This makes Parks of Harvest Hills a complete community, that will cater to different lifestyles and price points,” Dwyer says. “The best thing about it is that it’s located at the heart of an already well-established, amenity-rich area that residents can readily enjoy.” There will only be about 50 paired homes and Dwyer expects them to sell fast.

“Our paired homes at Parks of Harvest Hills has everything that single-family homes have, but you’re getting it for much less,” Dwyer says. “Some even have bigger backyards than in some move-up homes in the city.” They will feature James Hardie-cladding, a high-end exterior material well known for the sturdiness and style it provides to the home.
