Editor's Message - Christmas entertaining
Sure giving is better than receiving, but if you’re giving a Christmas party then receiving compliments from your guests can be the perfect gift.
Hosting a Christmas party can be a nerve-wracking proposition but our multi-talented design guru, Aly Velji, gives us some tips on how to make your party the hit of the season in his Design and Décor column.
We continue our Christmas theme with L. Sara Bysterveld’s Going Green feature showcasing environmentally-sensible solutions to finishing your Christmas gift list this year.
Our line-up of show homes this issue also has the Christmas spirit in it, particularly our cover feature, the Vida by Sabal Homes in Mahogany, which should really come with a bow because the “sweet life” it represents is the perfect gift for Christmas or any time of the year. Associate Publisher Jim Zang leaves with a lasting impression of Beattie Homes’ The Ranche at Heritage Pointe. First-time homebuyers will think they made it on Santa’s nice list when they see Shane Homes’ The Essence of Panorama Hills, because of its affordable easy-living design. On the other end of the spectrum is the Carmini by Albi Homes along the Terraces of Springbank Hill, a terrific move-up that will certainly be a great home to hold a Christmas party, or any party any time of the year!
The weather may be a little chillier now, but I guess it’s supposed to be, and we can stay warm by the hearth and with each other’s company this holiday.
Merry Christmas everyone!
