November 2017 | issue 143

The November issue marks a milestone for us at Source Media Group, as we finally launch our revamped website After months of trial runs and rough drafts, we finally have a website we can be proud of. It’s easier to navigate, has a ton of exclusive content and has a more pronounced lifestyle edge that homebuyers are looking for.

Our new social media guru, Ian Serpanchy, unveiled the new website at the CHBA Alberta Awards of Excellence in Housing event in Jasper and it has been on a roll since.

Readers can follow us there and you can get even more information not just on what our homebuilders and land developers are up to, but what else is going on in the city. We try to cover everything that’s going on in our world and keep our followers and readers up to date. It’s a brand new way to spread the word and a great opportunity for advertisers to expand their reach with us through a new digital offering. We are eager to share this and look forward to answering questions about it.

As long as we’re spreading the word, everyone has to know that The Rise at West Grove Estates in the southwest is in its final phase and rapidly filling out. Bri-mor Developments’ Aleem Dhanani says they have enjoyed an overwhelming response to the new community with luxuriously affordable homes from Cedarglen Homes and Albi Luxury by Brookfield Residential.

Our show home profiles on Stepper Homes and Mattamy Homes explore new areas, as well. Stepper Homes’ latest pair of show homes is in the new Bayview community in Airdrie and they display the builder’s award-winning craftsmanship and quality in loving detail. Mattamy Homes also just launched its new community of Carrington in the northwest where you will find the amazing Bradford split-level show home that has quickly become the darling of this new parade.

We also set out to the community of Redstone in the northeast and enjoy their pop-up community party that also introduces us to the new home offerings there. We also take a tour of Heartland in Cochrane and find out what makes this so popular among families.

We have Shelley Boettcher looking in to new, exciting places where you can hold birthday party celebrations. Chuck E. Cheese is just not enough these days, I guess. Wish I had these places to go to when I was a kid.

On a sadder note: I just learned that our former STYLE writer, David Crosson, has lost his battle with cancer. I’ve always enjoyed the lively, bantering way he had in his monthly features and we hope our readers did too in the all-too-brief time he was with us.

Fall looks like its going to be busier than usual, just take a look at all the activity we’re attending in the website and Facebook pages. Come along with us for what promises to be an exciting ride.
