Tuscany Hillside Estates

Jim Zang

Okay, so it’s not the sun-drenched, vineyard-covered hillsides of Italy. But it IS on a south-facing slope, and the homes ARE very nice, so Carma’s Tuscany Hillside Estates certainly does have its own kind of charm.

It’s about lifestyle more than anything else in this community with more than 170 acres of treed ravines, parks and pathways. And, of course, residents have access to the fantastic Tuscany Club, a six acre site complete with tennis courts, outdoor hockey rink, volleyball courts, waterpark/skating pond and a massive 16,000 square foot indoor gathering place.

But back to the houses. Albi Homes and Landmark Homes, two builders renowned for their quality construction and attention to detail, both have two new homes open for viewing.

Albi comes in with two distinctly different homes. How different? Just about as much as possible. The Verona V is a 2,709 square foot, two-storey giant, while the Bristol IV is a one bedroom bungalow with 1,872 square feet of space on the main level and another 1,500-plus square feet developed downstairs – perfect for young professionals or empty nesters.

Similarly, Landmark is presenting two very different homes of their own. The Florence is the larger of the two, at 2,578 square feet, while the Santa Barbara model measures about 1,700 square feet on the main floor plus an additional 625 square feet of optional upstairs ‘loft’ development.

To get there take Crowchild Trail to Stoney Trail, turn left and then follow the signs right into Tuscany. From there, look for the yellow Hillside Estates signs. Show home hours are from 2–8 p.m. Monday to Thursday, and from 12–5 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
