Copperfield Statue Unveiling
Calgary’s five-time developer of the year, Hopewell Residential Communities, celebrated another monumental event in September with their second statue unveiling in their award-winning community of Copperfield.
The bronze statues represent a component of the community’s character, and have been specially commissioned for all of Hopewell’s communities – leaving a legacy for the residents to enjoy. The statue is dedicated to the Ollenrenshaw family, and represents Rob Ollerenshaw and his father Fred planting a spruce tree – a scene that happened many years ago on the same land where the community of Copperfield now stands. The Ollerenshaw family understood the importance of spending time with their children and passing on the important values of giving back to the land. The plaque to the side reads “The time invested in the next generation is priceless” a theme that the residents of this vibrant young community embrace.
