Sabal Homes flexes its charitable muscles
In addition to crafting new stylish single-family detached and attached digs citywide, Sabal Homes can now count staging independent living spaces for seniors among its recent accomplishments. The building arm of Hopewell Residential Communities pitched in to add some style to an 850-square-foot one-bedroom condo unit at Sundance on the Green, one of six care centres for seniors and persons with disabilities operated by the Bethany Care Centre in central and southern Alberta, and three in Calgary.
Sabal’s marketing manager, Chris Lu helmed the décor end of things for the project, which was designed to give would-be resident seniors eyeing a move to Sundance on the Green a hand—and a visual representation—of decorating they can work into their own suites. While Lu says this was a first for him, designing for the age 50-plus demographic, he enjoyed pitching in for the worthy cause. Sabal also donated furniture to the show suite in the 99-suite, 55-plus active community in the southerly community of Sundance.
