Running rough

Pepper Rodriguez

Cardel Homes and the Calgary Roughnecks gave 100 children the chance to participate in a training camp with the city’s professional lacrosse team, and see what it takes to become a Roughneck.

The children, ranging in age from six to 10, were picked from 395 hopefuls to attend Cardel’s Run with the Roughnecks Training Camp, where they were ran through a series of drills and skill testing organized by Calgary Roughneck players, led by Kaleb Toth.

“Cardel Homes takes great pride in giving back to minor sports in our community and providing kids with an opportunity to meet their local sports heroes,” says Cardel marketing and event co-ordinator, Jessica Taylor.
