Dressage adds style to Silverado
When you edit New Home Living magazine as your occupation, you visit a lot of show homes.
Including a lot of very large, very fancy homes. However, out of the hundreds of homes we tour every year, the two new show homes at Dressage, in Qualico’s southwest community of Silverado (take 22X west and turn south on Sherrif King Street, then follow the signs), are pretty special. Not only do these homes offer views of the Spruce Meadows grounds directly to the west, but they have some of the nicest backyards in all of Calgary. Think outdoor fireplaces, built-in barbecues, huge patios and an outdoor pool. Yes, an outdoor pool. Yes, in Calgary.
Of course, this being Calgary, with our six to eight months of winter, what’s inside these homes is equally – if not more – important than what’s on the outside. And these masterpieces of architecture and interior design by Broadview Homes and Jayman MasterBUILT don’t disappoint. The exterior angles give both homes outstanding curb appeal, while attention to detail on the interiors adds form and function often found only in custom (and much more expensive) homes. Broadview’s five-level-split Kensington model checks in at around 2,500 square-feet and $1.2 million, while Jayman’s Neuhaus is a tad larger at 2,657 square-feet and a price point of just under $1.4 million.
