Hopewell goes international

One of Calgary’s most successful developers, Hopewell Group of Companies, is making moves overseas, as they formed a new international division.

Hopewell Group of Companies Executive Chairman Sanders Lee announced the formation of a new, international, Hopewell division — Hopewell Management International — to be based in France and led by newly appointed president, Paul Taylor; formerly Executive Vice-President of Hopewell Residential Communities LP. (Calgary).

The new suburban land development company is a Canadian real estate management company operating in eastern Europe, primarily within the Russian Federation, focused on providing residential, commercial and industrial expertise to European clients. HMI provides a broad spectrum of service including, full-scope development expertise, urban planning, engineering, and construction direction.

Taylor’s appointment is the culmination of considerable experience in the Canadian housing and land development sectors, including executive board terms with the Urban Development Institute (Calgary), the Calgary Region Home Builders Association, and the Calgary Land Trust.

Hopewell Residential Communities also announced the appointment of long-time team member Marion Murray to Vice President (Sales & Marketing) and Chris Plosz as Vice-President (Development). Both are highly-respected industry professionals  who have been with the company for more than a decade.
