Mahogany sees fastest growth rate in Calgary
The popular lakeside community of Mahogany in the southeast enjoyed the fastest growth rate in the city, according to the latest municipal survey.
The Hopewell Residential Community development grew an astonishing 205 per cent according to the 2011 Calgary Civic Census, or 530 new residents. “No surprise there — show home traffic and sales have been phenomenal,” says Hopewell’s Scott Hamilton.
Communities that grew more than 100 per cent are:
• Mahogany (205 per cent or 530 residents)
• Walden (183 per cent or 384 residents)
• Skyview Ranch (154 per cent or 1,093 residents)
• Sage Hill (102 per cent or 718 resdents)
