Trico Homes is pleased to announce its partnership with Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship (ACE) that will bring the ACE National Exposition to Calgary, only the second time it will be held outside Toronto in its 25-year history.

Trico Homes gave a $150,000 donation to the national organization as part of its campaign to “enrich communities where we build.” Trico will serve as the Official Host of the 2012 ACE National Exposition, taking place in Calgary from May 7 to 9, 2012.

Through their donation, Trico will help ACE to create stronger communities and encourage the development of future leaders in our country.

“Trico is passionate about ACE’s mandate, and we are inspired when we see our future leaders implementing entrepreneurial solutions to real economic, social and environmental needs,” explains Norm Mross, President, Trico Homes. “By partnering with ACE, we are helping foster young leaders to address real needs in our communities today while ensuring they are equipped with the skills and tools to succeed tomorrow.”

Among other activities, ACE operates the Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) program in Canada. Established in over 38 countries, SIFE is an international non-profit organization that works with leaders in business and higher education to mobilize university students to make a difference in their communities while developing the skills to become socially responsible business leaders. Participating students form teams on their university campuses and apply business concepts to develop outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need.

The annual ACE National Exposition provides a forum for teams to present the results of their projects to be evaluated by business leaders serving as judges. National champion teams advance to the prestigious SIFE World Cup. The National Exposition also provides valuable learning and networking opportunities for all participants.

“Trico Homes’ generous contribution will go a long way in ensuring our National Exposition in Calgary is a huge success,” says ACE President Amy Harder. “Further, their support will help our SIFE teams to develop and run innovative projects in their communities that will help to build a better Canada for all.”
