Shane Homes’ dream lottery home opens
The Kinsmen Lotto for the Alberta Children’s Hospital kicks off its 20th year as it reveals the latest dream home grand prize from Shane Homes.
The Delmar grand prize show home has over 3,600 square-feet of luxurious living in the popular northwest community of Valley Ridge, it is the latest Shane Home masterpiece in the two decades they have been involved with the lottery.
Valued at over $1.3 milllion, the Delmar features 10-foot ceilings, a luxurious master retreat, triple car garage, gourmet kitchen, a huge bonus room, on a lot that backs onto a treed natural reserve for the ultimate in city convenience and quiet serenity. The show home is at 12114 Valley Ridge Drive N.W.
More importantly, proceeds of this year’s lottery will go to funding a next generation DNA Short Sequencer for the Alberta Children’s Hospital. “We want to raise enough money to get a couple of these state-of-the-art specialized diagnostic equipment, each one priced at $2.3 million,” says Kathy Greenwood of the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation.
“These sequencers allows doctors to get answers for genetic anomalies in one week that would otherwise take years to diagnose,” she tells Around Town.
Tickets are $100 each, six for $200 and 15 for $300. Final ticket sales cutoff is on August 19, 2012.
