Watermark at Bearspaw opens first show home
Trickle Creek Custom Homes takes the honours as the first builder to open a show home in Watermark at Bearspaw’s ‘Street of Distinction’ show home parade, marking the first step in turning the dream of this luxury estate community into reality.
The Trickle Creek home is the first of five homes in the show home parade. The rest should be opening soon, including those from Astoria Custom Homes and Homes By Us that that are scheduled to open this fall, and the final two show homes, by Wolf Custom Homes and Crystal Creek Homes, due in early 2013.
“We are very excited to announce that Trickle Creek Homes has opened the doors to their show home on our Street of Distinction,” says Matthew Jones, associate vice president of sales and marketing for Macdonald Development Corporation. “It is a great example of the caliber of homes being built within the Watermark at Bearspaw community.”
Trickle Creek’s exquisite new show home spans more than 5,000 square-feet with three fully developed levels including the walkout basement, which opens onto a generous patio overlooking one of Watermark’s cascading pond systems.
Even without the benefit of show homes, Watermark at Bearspaw has become a certified hit with 65 per cent of the first phase already sold, consisting of 108 fully serviced lots ranging from one-quarter of an acre to over three-quarters of an acre, with frontages from 80 to 150 feet.
There are approximately 20 homes currently under construction and the first residents are expected to move in before the end of the year. “To have sold this many lots without the presence of show homes is virtually unheard of in the Calgary marketplace”, says Jones. “It clearly demonstrates that many people have been able to understand the vision of the community; that is, a custom estate home neighbourhood with very large lots, wide spacing between homes, and plenty of amenities to enjoy.”
Watermark at Bearspaw is located at 12 Mile Coulee Road, on the border of NW Calgary. It is minutes from the Crowfoot LRT station and 20 minutes to downtown and the Calgary International Airport.
